One thing that makes a medical lab stand out for me is the option to check your report online! It is frustrating to first go to the lab to give your sample, then go to collect the report, and then wait for an hour because ‘the report isn’t ready yet.

How it works
Free Pre-screening report:
Gknowmix Management APP: Online consent
Upon consideration, we require an email address to send a link to complete online consent and health questionnaires. This data is fed into our website, and a Patient profile is created, assigned to the patient’s care provider. www.gknowmix.app
If a client does not have a doctor, one will be assigned as we work closely with health care providers, Doctors, oncologists, psychiatrists, etc.
Swab Kit: Sample collection:
This can be done through various methods, but we specifically do the cheek swab.
It is a non-invasive and common method to collect DNA.
Pre-screen Report: FREE
The Greencare Pre-screen Report includes preliminary information about potential genetic risks based on initial screenings.
Even before any genetics are added, the pre-screen report already provides insight into diet scores, lifestyle, and a summary of the data provided via the APP.
The pre-screen report is followed by a FREE online consultation by one of our registered dietitians.
POCT: Point of care testing
Refers to medical testing at or near the site of patient care. It’s designed to provide quick results, enabling healthcare providers to make immediate decisions. With Genetics, the POC is used for rapid testing of certain genetic mutations.
The collected swab is applied to a kit, which we also manufacture ourselves, testing 10 genetic variants.
Results and Interpretations:
The results are interpreted by professionals, often with the help of a Scientist and genetic counselors, to understand the implications and importance of the genetic findings.
Sections of the report are automated, but since we focus on personal care, each report and patient is looked at individually, providing a pathology-supported report that includes recommendations.
Although the testing is rapid, the report does take some time as each of the following aspects is considered. Family Medical History, Lifestyle and Diet, Medication, and detected genetic variants.
